"Tell me about it, Stud"

We have new walls framed! It's very exciting to see the new space lined out. The carpenter also jackhammered the floor to make space for moving the plumbing (slab ranches are fun, aren't they?). The plumber was here getting started, but it turns out the plumbing under our kitchen sink is a little wacky and certainly not going to hold up to new code, so it looks like a new water line is in our future, but we're hashing out the details (this wasn't in the original plan). The red rubber hose in the picture is what is currently giving us hot water in the working bathroom. We also found some lovely flatware mixed in with the plumbing- yard sale anyone?

The new skeletal walls do give one hope. Sorry for the plumbing issue. With our house we have just come to accept that any project, not matter how seemingly small, will end up involving more than you imagined as you try to "undo" other people's work which may or may not have been do to any type of code. Hopefully the new water line won't involve too much more ripping up your slab. We are about to embark upon updating our wiring up to code and fear it will result in much destruction to our walls but it has to be done.

I do like your tile that you picked out. I think they will look lovely.
