Day Before Demo!

Today has been a very productive day. I finished packing up the kitchen. You know, you never really appreciate all the nooks and crannies of storage space your house hass until you have to put your whole kitchen into it. Then Erik and I moved the refridgerator into the family room. It's pretty handy having your fridge next to your dining table- you know, in case you forget the ketchup. We also moved our kitchen cart into the family room with our microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and an electric kettle (knew I should save that for some reason). So we have our essentials. It will be a drag when the kitchen sink is gone, but we'll use the bathroom sink conveniently located right behind our new makeshift kitchen. Erik loaded the dishwasher one last time after the kitchen was all cleaned out- it's hand washing from now on (of course I bought a large supply of disposable dishes and flatware too). We also had our dumpster delivered today- a cute little half height version with a door in the back for easy loading. Tomorrow demo begins!

Doesn't look too too bad...Semi comfortable for a short time....Keagan is going to B-line it right to that dumpster!! You'll have to bring him outside blindfolded!

We are about 4-6 weeks behind you....we have the plans, the contractor is doing up the estimate, and if all looks good we should start in Mid-May! Looks like fun!!!

Ex-burn R.N. here....can you move the coffee pot cord so Keagan does not pull it!!! I worry!

Hi Kristin- Thanks for your concern. I've moved the cord, and just so you know, as soon as it's done brewing we transfer the hot coffee to a thermal carafe. We are trying to be safe!
I hope you blog about your remodel!

Thanks Lana! I know you are safe, I am just neurotic! I still have all handles in on the stove when cooking....poor Emma has a twitch when she sees me light a candle, I made her crazy about fire! That 18 months working in the burn operating room at Shriner's still sits in my brain! My plastic surgeon job now is so nice...boobs and botox! Kristin
